Addie Mae was born on August 3, 1927, in Lampasas, Texas to Ernest C. and Gertrude Parsons Henderson.  Addie Mae grew up as part of a large family in Lampasas, Texas.  After she married her first husband, Howard Williams, she worked as a cook for the Lampasas school district where she would retire after almost thirty years of service.  She also worked during the summers at Highland Lakes Baptist Camp.  She was very active in church, where she taught Sunday school and played piano and organ for most of her adult life.  Addie Mae loved to play dominoes and to visit with friends and family.  Her loving demeanor and considerable talent for cooking and music allowed her to nourish both the bodies and spirits of anyone fortunate enough to know her.

Addie Mae was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Williams; second husband, Don Ralph; two children, Richard Williams and Karen Williams Roper; parents, Ernest and Gertrude Henderson; five brothers, Edgar C. Henderson, William L. Henderson, Richard C. Henderson, Eugene Henderson, Charles W. Henderson, and four sisters, Alice Cantwell, Lena Williams, Ernestine Henderson, and Joyce Brown Brackett.

Hughes of Austin; daughter-in-law, Georgia Ann Williams of Round Rock; three grandchildren, Jennifer Williams Averitt of Houston, Klay Williams of Mobile, AL, Shane Roper of Wylie; great-grandchildren, Ali Sexton, Tyler Roper, and Amelia Williams, and one great-great-granddaughter, Addie Mae Sexton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
