Annie (Gaydos) Tyson, 78, passed way on July 18, 2020 at her home in Hamilton, Texas. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Live Oak Cemetery with burial to follow. Annie was born on April 1, 1942 in Jourdanton, Texas to Jim, Sr. and Christina (Polasek) Gaydos. She grew up in Jourdanton and graduated from Jourdanton High School in 1960. After high school she met and married her husband, Otis Eugene Tyson, Sr. in 1961 in Hamilton, Texas. They were happily married for 57 years. Annie enjoyed raising birds, helping out on the farm, fishing and feeding livestock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Tyson, Sr.; parents, Jim Sr. and Christina Gaydos; siblings, Robert Gaydos, John Gaydos, Jim Gaydos, Jr., Alvina Mangum, Millie Dansbee and step-daughter, Nancy Weir. Survivors: Sons, Otis Tyson, Jr., Jim (Farrah) Tyson; step-daughters, Sharon (Charles) Williams, Connie (Charles) Wood and (Doug) Weir; siblings, Janie Vance, Theresa (Greg) Creagear, August (Wilma) Gaydos; sister-in-law, Rosella Roberson; niece, Anna Gaydos; grandchildren, Bradley, Kaitlynn, Kourtney Tyson; great-grandson, Hayden and numerous other relatives. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Sneed Funeral Chapel, Hamilton General Hospital and Baylor Scott and White.
