Arlis Shelton

Hubert "Arlis" Shelton, 65, passed away on August 1, 2024, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX.  He was born September 22, 1958, in San Antonio, TX, to Charles N. and Dorothy Sauls Shelton.

Arlis Shelton grew up in Nixon, TX.  In 1978, he graduated from East Central High School in San Antonio, TX.  Shortly after graduation, he joined the US Army, serving 8 years.  He then began working at Tem-Tex Solvents and Dist. in Temple, TX where he was employed for over 38 years.  He retired in February of 2024.

Arlis married Aloma Braswell in December of 2017 in Lampasas, TX.  They were happily married for over 6 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Shelton, and his siblings, Vivian Kalak, Linda Howland, David Shelton, and Sherman Shelton.

Arlis is survived by his wife, Aloma of Lampasas, TX; his children, Brad Shelton and wife Kari, Amanda Lively and husband Andrew, and Sarah Shelton; his step-children, Britney Ullevig and husband Michael, Kyle Click and wife Amanda, and Camey Gonzalez and husband Luis; his brother, Paul and wife Brenda.  God also blessed Arlis with 6 beautiful grandchildren, Taylyn, Tasen, Ashton, Camryn, Zackary, and Stella as well as 8 step-grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, Gracey, Atyana, Abigail, Maddox, Navy, and Olivia.
