Arthur C. Bocanegra

Arthur C. Bocanegra, 80, of Lampasas, passed away on April 27, 2026.

A Rosary will be recited at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6 pm, with visitation to follow until 8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 10 am, with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Arthur was born in Greeley, CO, on September 17, 1945, to Jose and Isabelle (Castilla) Bocanegra. Arthur was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He worked many years at Wieser Mill in Lampasas and then did yard work mainly for the Wieser and Garrett families, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Around town, many people know Arthur as "The Dancing Man".

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Francis Martinez, his nephew, Joe Martinez, and his niece, Mary Esther Gonzalez.

Survivors include his sister, Dorse Tobar, and husband Frank; his nieces, Rosalie Sanchez, and Janie Garcia and husband Albert; her nephews, Martin Gonzalez, Angel Martinez, and Tony Martinez and wife Sabrina, and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
