Aubrey Leonard Rodgers Jr, 90, passed away on Tuesday July 8, 2025 at Lampasas Assisted Living in Lampasas, Texas. He was born on October 3, 1934 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Aubrey Leonard Rodgers Sr and Francis Nola Griffey Rodgers.

A memorial service will be held at Vinyard Funeral Home 1011 4thSt Floresville, Texas 78114 at 3pm Saturday July 19, 2025. A visitation will be held at Vinyard Funeral Home at the same time and date. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetary.

Aubrey (Al) grew up in Texas in various towns as they relocated with his fathers’ career. He graduated from Northside High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1952. After high school he had avery successful career with IBM working in various positions. Over the course of his employment he was in charge of many major projects, one of which was increasing the speed of the internet. He was promoted to Vice President at the Austin Branch and retired after a very long career.

Aubrey married Joan in 1964 in San Antonio, Texas. They were happily married for 53 years. He enjoyed shooting sports, hunting and boating. And was also a member of the National Rifle Association as well as the Texas State Rifle Association.

Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Nola Rodgers, sister Martha Sikora and his wife Joan Robertson Rodgers.

Aubrey is survived by his daughter, Alanna Fell (David) of Junction, Texas, son Aubrey Leonard Rodgers III (Connie) of Fredericksburg, Texas, son Vincent Robertson Rodgers (Jennifer) of Lampasas, Texas; 6 grandchildren Michael and Rebekah Fell, Logan and Jordan Rodgers, Tristan and Audrey Rodgers; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Texas State Rifle Association.
