Barbara Anne Harper, 82, of Killeen, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

Barbara was born in Wheeler, Texas to William Elbert Tillman and Annie Pearl McFarlin Tillman on January 22, 1939. She attended school at Lefors High and Draughon’s Business College in Amarillo, Texas. Barbara married Mark Burl Harper, Jr. on September 19, 1957, and celebrated 64 wonderful years together.  She worked for many years as the manager for the Velma Federal Credit Union.

Barbara was a 50 Year Member of the Order of Eastern Star.  She enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo, and caring for her loved ones.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Harper; her parents, William and Annie Tillman; and her sisters, Billie Gray and Anita Rowe.

Barbara is survived by her children, Bill and Cheri Harper, Cheryl Wood and Robert Harper; sisters and brother-in-law, Eva Jo Ray and Linda and Tim Caddell; grandchildren, Amber and Oscar Valeriano, Kevin and Kristen Harper, Andy and Tanya Warren, Matthew and Nicole Wood, Jeremy and Nikki Wood, Stephen Wood, and Justin Harper; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family of Barbara wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to all the veterans, friends, extended family members, and healthcare workers.
