Barbara Jan Millsap, 86, of Lampasas, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026.
A Rosary will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 6 pm; visitation will follow until 8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 10 am, with interment to follow at Hillsdale Cemetery in Izoro.
Barbara was born on May 25, 1939, at the family home in Coryell County, Texas. She was very faithful to her church and served in many roles at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas. She was proud to be part of the Guadalupanas and enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry. Most of her career while working was spent with JCPenney's, a job she really enjoyed. During her lifetime, Barbara was privileged to travel the world with her husband during his military time. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and was an excellent cook. Above all, she was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and adored her family and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin, her parents, her daughter, Deborah Bean, her daughter-in-law, April Millsap, grandson, Justin Millsap and great-granddaughter, Reagan Evans.
Survivors include her sons, Donald Millsap and Russell Millsap, and wife Jennifer; daughter, Jeanette Gallagher; brother, Tommy Rogers and wife Darla; sister, Linda Bartell and husband Fred; grandchildren, Raeven Millsap, Ben Evans and wife Natalie, Jessica Ballot, Joseph Mychale Bean and wife Angela, Amanda Marie Case and husband Anthony Walker, Hunter Gallagher, Jared Gallagher, Cole Millsap, and Mason Ortiz; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Connor, and Caleb Evans, Charlie and Oliver Ballot, Sawyer Bean, Isabella, Anthony Jr., Kobe, and Isaiah Walker, Maggie (Gallagher) Indick and husband Greg, and Braxton Ortiz.
