Bessie Merle Holloman, age 90, passed away on April 5, 2026, at Windchime Assisted Living in Kingsland, Texas.  She was born on March 3, 1936, in Evant, Texas to Malcolm and Elma Sneed Kinsey.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church Lampasas on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 3 pm with visitation an hour prior.  Burial will follow at Rock Church Cemetery in Rumley, TX.

Bessie grew up in Evant, Texas.  She graduated from Evant High School in 1954.  After high school, she began work at Ft. Hood as a clerk typist and retired as a Protocol Officer after 33 years.  Bessie was a member of First Baptist Church and The Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Bessie married Martin Holloman, Jr. in 1957, in Evant, Texas.  They were happily married until his death in 1990.

Bessie was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend too many and will be very missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Martin, her parents, Malcolm and Elma Kinsey, her brother, Billy Kinsey, and her sisters, Lola Cozby and Christene Jones.

Bessie is survived by her two sons, Tommy (Danette) Holloman of Burnet, Texas, and David Holloman of Rumley, Texas; her daughter, Brenda Holloman of Marble Falls, Texas; her brother, Gerald Kinsey of Evant, Texas; her sisters, Charlene Babbitt of De Leon, Texas and Wanda Lade of Lago Vista, Texas; her grandchildren, Sean (Aisha) Gill of Leander, Texas, Alicia (Seth) Noble of Austin, Texas, Ashley Foster of Austin, Texas, Shawna (John) Latham of Lampasas, Texas, Ashton Holloman of Burnet, Texas, Trilby (Cory) Arney of Copperas Cove, Texas, Triston Holloman of Rumley, Texas, and Traxton Holloman of Rumley, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Layla Gill, Alyssa Gill, Roman Gill, Grayson Noble, Annabelle Noble, Jaelyn Latham, Ava Latham, Anberlynn Amey, Riggin Arney, Rustin Arney, Luna Holloman, and Georgia Holloman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
