Brian Lynn Hamil

Brian Lynn Hamil, 49, of Lampasas, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2026.  Brian was born on June 26, 2026, in Brownwood, TX.

He lived a life marked by his love for family and the relationships he built throughout the years.  He was a very kind, caring and friendly person, he never met a stranger.  He also loved the outdoors.  He will be remembered for his presence, his unique spirit, and the memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Brian is survived by his two sons, Eric Lynn Hamil and Brian James Hamil, both of Amarillo, TX; his mother, Pamela Hamil and his nephew, Montana Hamil of Lampasas; his older brother, Jim Hamil, Jr., and wife Jeni and their daughters, Jamie and Jessie, and son Rebel of Buffalo, TX and by his youngest brother, Tony Hamil of Kempner, TX. 

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Jim Hamil, Sr. and his adopted son, Ernie who will welcome him into eternal rest.

Though his passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, his memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he leaves behind.

The family asks that Brian be remembered not for the way he died, but for the way he lived and the impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.

Memorial services will be done privately.
