Carlos Francisco Vazquez, a beloved son, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 70. Born on August 17, 1955, in Tacoma, Washington, Carlos dedicated over 30 years of his life to his career as a mechanic, where he exemplified his expertise and commitment to his craft.
Before embarking on his career in mechanics, Carlos served honorably in the United States Army for nearly a decade, a period that he regarded as one of his proudest accomplishments. Following his service, he pursued an education at Central Carolina Technical College, obtaining an Automotive Degree, alongside a Police Officers Commission from the state of Florida. His impressive background showcased not only his dedication to learning but also his desire to serve.
Carlos was known for his loving and caring nature towards his family. He had an infectious sense of humor that brought joy and laughter to those around him. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, fishing, horseback riding, and car racing, which not only reflected his adventurous spirit but also provided cherished moments spent with friends and family.
Carlos is survived by his mother, Consuelo Vazquez; his brother, Angel Vazquez; and his sister, Judith E. Vazquez. They, along with countless friends, will remember Carlos for his warmth, compassion, and the joy he brought into their lives.
He is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Vazquez-Matos, who will surely greet him with open arms.
A memorial service to honor Carlos Francisco Vazquez will be held on February 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542, where family and friends will come together to celebrate his life and legacy. Carlos leaves behind a lasting impact that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him.
