Carol Denise Snow

Carol Denise Snow (Murphy), 59, of Copperas Cove, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on September 27, 2025, after bravely battling Multiple Sclerosis for more than twenty years.  She was born on October 24, 1965, the daughter of Rev. James and Laura Murphy of Readfield, Maine.

Carol was a wild spirit, full of life, laughter, and an energy that made her unforgettable.  She lived each day with passion, never losing her sense of humor, even during the hardest times.  Her courage and zest for life inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She deeply loved her family and found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother.  Her children were the pride of her life, and her grandchildren brought her endless happiness.  Whether cheering them on, sharing stories, or spoiling them with affection, Carol's love was boundless and unconditional.  

Carol also had a great love for adventure.  She cherished traveling the country with her husband, Jeffrey, making memories on the road and seeking out new places and experiences together.  At home, she was happiest surrounded by family, and she shared a special companionship with her beloved dog, Oakley.  

She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Jeffrey Snow of Copperas Cove, TX, and her parents, Rev. James and Laura Murphy of Readfield, ME.  She leaves behind her children and their spouses, Laura and Evan Anderton of Sebago, ME, Dr. Franki-Lin and Chris Gregor of Ridgecrest, CA, Harmony and Jestin Hatter of Sumter, SC, Nevaeh Snow of Ridgecrest, CA, and James Snow of Lewiston, ME.

She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Patricia and Gary Brousseau, James and Lynn Murphy, Robert Murphy, Nancy and James Martin, and Michael and Beth Murphy.  Her greatest joy was being "Nana" to Sophia, Carol-Lin, Addison, Wesley, Mason, Kane, Charleigh, Lorlei, Kayden, and Preston, who will carry her love and spirit forward.

Carol's legacy is one of strength, resilience, and joy.  She will be remembered for her wild spirit, her love of family, and the laughter she brought to every room.  Though she has left this world too soon, her love and memory will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.
