Carolyn Ann Rogers

Carolyn Ann Rogers, 83, passed away on August 13, 2024, at her home in Lampasas, TX.  She was born on August 2, 1941, in El Reno, Oklahoma to Heber Delwin and Catherine Ann (Haney) Goad.

The family will have a small, private celebration of her wonderful life and love on August 31, 2024.

Carolyn grew up in El Reno, Oklahoma.  She graduated from El Reno High School in El Reno.  After high school,  Carolyn attended college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Education.  She began working as an elementary teacher which brought her to Texas.  There she raised two kids and held jobs at both Central Administration and office manager at Foreman Elementary for Plano ISD.  She retired in 2008 after 35 years.  She enjoyed raising her poodles and spending time with her family.

Carolyn was a member of the Presbyterian faith.  She also received many awards and accomplishments while working for Plano ISD.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Heber and Catherine Goad.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Wayne) Hilgenberg of Copperas Cove, TX; her son, David (Edith) Rogers of Sachse, TX; her granddaughter, Cheyenne (Christopher) Cage of Muleshoe, TX and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Rae Cage as well as numerous uncles, nieces, nephews and an uncountable number of friends.
