Following his service, Charles devoted 30 years as a government contractor specializing in supply and logistics. His professional journey was characterized by diligence and reliability, reflecting the same steadfast spirit that defined his military tenure.

Beyond his career, Charles was a man of remarkable generosity and kindness. Described fondly as always giving and sweet, he opened his heart to those around him, nurturing bonds that extended beyond family to friends and community alike. Volunteering and helping others were vital to his life, showcasing a selfless nature that sought to uplift those in need.

Family was the cherished center of Charles’ world. He found immense joy and purpose in spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, whose laughter and companionship brought warmth to his later years. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Haralson Jr.;and his parents.

Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kwang Haralson; daughter, Judy Harnish and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily. 

The service to honor Charles Eugene Haralson’s life will be held as a Graveside Service on June 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at 11463 TX-195, Killeen, Texas. This gathering will provide an opportunity for all who loved him to come together and celebrate a life well lived—a life that embodied kindness, dedication, and an enduring love for family and country.

Charles leaves behind a legacy of courage, generosity, and tenderness that will forever inspire those privileged to know him. His memory remains alive in the hearts of his family and friends, a testament to a man who gave so much and asked for nothing in return.
