Charlotte Groves McMillan

Charlotte Ann Groves McMillan, 80, passed away on April 1, 2024.

Graveside services will be held at Groves Z Bar Ranch Cemetery (1234 County Road 3700) on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 10:30 am.

Charlotte was born on July 30, 1943, to William Arthur Groves and Mary Edith (Edwards) Groves in Lampasas, TX.  She grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School.  After high school, she attended the University of North Texas where she received both a bachelor's degree and master's degree.  She taught music for Lampasas ISD for many years.  She enjoyed gardening and cooking and making sure everyone was fed.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Grady Groves and grandson, William Ryne Burklund. 

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Phillip McMillan; her daughter, Lana Groves; her sons, Klint Groves and wife Doreen, Grant Groves and wife Terry; her step-son, Eric McMillan; her sister, Shirley Stringer and husband Larry; her grandchildren, Holly Ann Shoemaker (Joey), Tyler Groves, Cody Groves, Sydney Groves and Heath Burklund as well as numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
