Christopher Lee Crane

Christopher Lee Crane, lovingly known to many as Chris, passed away on June 26, 2026 in Lampasas, Texas, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 11, 1967, in Austin, Texas, and spent his life devoted to the people and causes that mattered most to him.

Chris’s deep love for his family was apparent to all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Angela Crane, and his cherished son, Jonathan Crane, who was, in Chris’s own words, his everything. Chris found profound joy and meaning in being a husband and especially a father; his unwavering support and affection were a constant presence in their lives.

He carried on the memory of his late father, Guinn Crane, and mother, Patricia Mason, honoring their legacy with his steadfast character and compassionate spirit.

A pillar of his community, Chris took great pride in his work for Health and Human Services. Through his dedication, he touched many lives, displaying a quiet strength, empathy, and professionalism that made a lasting difference. Outside of his professional endeavors, Chris found relaxation and camaraderie as an avid HAM radio enthusiast, always eager to connect and converse across the airwaves.

Chris was also a proud and active member of Hicks Chapel. His faith and fellowship within the chapel fostered lasting friendships and provided a source of strength throughout his journey.

Known for his unwavering kindness, warm heart, and steadfast commitment to his loved ones, Chris will be remembered fondly by family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His legacy is one of resilience, devotion, and a life well-lived, defined by his love for his family above all else.

The family, while grieving, is grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, and they take comfort in the enduring impact Chris has had on all who knew him.
