Dame "Susie" Anderson

Dame "Susie" Anderson, 89, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at her residence in Covington, LA.

Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 am on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Sneed Funeral Chapel with graveside services to follow at 11 am at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rick Willis officiating. 

Susie was born on August 20, 1931, in Seoul, South Korea to Man Bok and Ki Young Choi.  She grew up in South Korea, immigrating to the United States in 1953.  After settling in Lampasas, she became a Naturalized Citizen.  She worked for the US Post Office for several years prior to her marriage to Edwin "Swede" Anderson in 1964.  They were happily married for 34 years.

Susie was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Lampasas and also spent many years attending the Korean Baptist Church in Copperas Cove.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents

Survivors include her son, Matthew Anderson (Susan) of Convington, LA; her sister, Hak Si Kim of Seoul, South Korea; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to First Baptist Church of Lampasas.
