David Osborne Bryant, Jr., 54, of Lampasas passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, with his companion dog Bolo.
Visitation will be held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be at 2 pm on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Sneed Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
David was born April 5, 1967, in Burnet, TX, and resided in Lampasas most of his life. David attended Lampasas Independent School District and excelled in academics, he was great in art, played football, and ran track. His record in track was not broken for 34 years. He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1985 after which he worked with his father at the family cleaners called Modern Cleaners. He later got a job working for the Williams House, working with at-risk youth. He attended Devry University in New York and while living in New York was called to assist in the cleanup of the first attack on the World Trade Center. David then moved to Dallas and worked in IT. He met and married Paulette Shehee in 2007 and they later moved back to Lampasas, TX. He was employed as a corrections officer for 3 years with TDCJ and eventually landed his dream job in commercial trucking. David's faith was Jehovah’s Witnesses.
David was preceded in death by his father, David Osborne Bryant, Sr in 2018. He is survived by his mother, Delores Bryant; his fiance, Melissa Kemp; his children, Devin Bryant, Deavyn Barina, Damion Bryant, Laylah Bryant, Brooklyn Bryant and their mother, Paulette Bryant; grandson, Elijah; sister, LaTonya Bryant; brother, Vincent Bryant and wife, Tracie; niece Harlow; brother, Chris Oldham, and wife, Michelle; sister, Angie Wells and husband, Randy and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
