Diane Martinez

Diane Martinez, affectionately known as "Nana" or "GG," peacefully passed away on April 23, 2025, in Killeen, Texas. Born on June 24, 1945, in Conway, Arkansas, Diane's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family, her faith, and her vibrant spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Diane was a true embodiment of kindness, known for her reliable and generous nature. She approached life with a fun-loving attitude and a genuine commitment to uplifting those around her. Her passion for pushing her family to strive for their best was evident in everything she did. Diane was not just a wonderful grandmother; she was a devoted military spouse, always the supportive partner, tying together her family's unique experiences and challenges.

Her many interests included an affection for Elvis, a fondness for Mickey Mouse, and a love for black-and-white movies. Her family recalls how much she cherished watching them play sports, celebrating each moment with enthusiasm. Diane's heart was particularly warmed by her great granddaughters, Astrid and Kaydence, whom she loved deeply. Her favorite color, red, and her favorite flower, a rose, reflected her vibrant personality and passionate spirit.

Diane leaves behind a legacy filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories. She is survived by her daughter, LaDawnia Carattini, and her three grandsons, Gregory, Zachary, and Justin Carattini, who carry forward her values and spirit in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Martinez, whom she cherished throughout their life together. Diane's faith as a believer in Christ provided her with strength and guidance, and it will continue to resonate in the lives of her family and friends.

The community is invited to celebrate Diane's life and memory through a series of services scheduled for May 12, 2025. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Copperas Cove Location, located at 1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522. This will be followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, after which a graveside service will take place from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Killeen, TX, at 11463 TX-195.

Diane Martinez will be remembered for her genuine spirit, fierce love for her family, and devoted life. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she left behind.
