Don F. Owens

Don F. Owens, 92 of Lampasas, Texas died May 7, 2020 at Advent Health Central Texas in Killeen. He was born November 22, 1927 in Lampasas County near Nix to parents Earl Owens and Allie (Underwood) Owens. Don finished school at Nix. He married Bonnie F. Coleman June 7, 1952. He worked at Ft. Hood for the U S Civil Service for many years. After he retired he enjoyed full time ranching. Don was a member of the Church of Christ and Saratoga Masonic Lodge A.F&A.M. 546 as 32nd degree mason. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Owens Daughter, Peggy Smith (Rick) Son Don A. Owens (Debbi) Grandchildren; Josh Smith (Brooke), Jason Smith, Janci Weilbacher (Wes), Jennifer Miles (Lonnie), Marshall Miles (Tiffany). 9 great-grandchildren Don was preceded in death by his parents, by brother, Doyle Owens and by sister, Mavis Richter. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery Monday May 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
