Don Ray Rollins

Don Ray Rollins passed away on August 12, 2023, at Silver Creek Assisted Living Facility in Lampasas, Texas.  He was born in Stamford, Texas on July 2, 1929, to Charlie and Hilda Rollins.

Memorial services will be held on September 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Hanson Cemetery in Dublin, TX.

Don grew up in Rotan, Texas and then entered the Army in 1946.  He was recalled in 1950 for the Korean Conflict and served for nine months.  He then went to work for his father at Rollins Motor Co.  In 1965, the family moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico.  He retired to Santa Anna, Texas.  Don and Meddie moved to Lampasas in 2020.

Don married Meddie Herron on December 23, 1948.  They were married for 74 years and had four children.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, and his son, Jeffrey.  He is survived by his wife, Meddie; his daughter, Shirlene Fincher; his sons, Don Jr. and wife Sharon and Tracy and wife Cindy as well as seven grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
