Donna Linette Beal-Stubbs

Donna Linette Beal-Stubbs, age 71, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the Lampasas Assisted Living following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Linette was born in Austin, Texas, on September 17, 1954, to Worth Beal and Francis Moore Beal.  She graduated from Austin High School in 1973, where she was named Homecoming Queen in 1972.  After graduation, she worked for her father at Worth Beal Rentals in Austin, before moving to Washington, D.C. to work for Price Waterhouse, a time she fondly recalled for all of her days.  She returned to Austin in 1984 and worked for The Architects Office Corp. until her retirement.

Linette married Dr. Clay Stubbs in 1999, and was a very loving and caring wife until his passing in 2016.  They had a mutual love for horses and dancing and very much enjoyed each other's company for the years that they had together.

Linette had a great wit and was always kind with everyone she dealt with.  Parkinson's slowly took her body and mind, but she was kind and sweet through her final days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Patsy Welmaker, Prescilla "Prissy" Beal, and Gail Perry.  She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, Polly, Sally, and Scott Welmaker, Bruce, Timothy, Jennifer, and Dinah Boyd, Megan Apostolo, and Sarah Tenberg, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind her children by marriage, Evan Stubbs and Jacqueline Dana Lewis, as well as multiple grandchildren and many friends.  She will be dearly missed.

She did not wish to have a public ceremony, so there will be a private celebration of her life at a later date.  The family would like to thank all of the ladies who helped with her care over the years as she declined, and particularly Roxanne Silva, Nancy Tidwell, Anna Davis, all of the ladies at Lampasas Assisted Living, and New Century Hospice.
