Funeral services for Dorothy Jean Pettigrew, 82 of Copperas Cove, Texas are scheduled for 11:00a.m., Tuesday at the Shepard Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. John Mailey officiating. Interment services will follow at 1:00p.m., at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Mrs. Pettigrew passed away February 6, 2009 at the Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas She was born October 7, 1926, in Weatherford to Raymond and Ophie Clay Crounch. She married Raymond O, Pettigrew on December 31, 1942 in Weatherford. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2007. Mrs. Pettigrew was a homemaker who attended Robertson Ave. Baptist Church. She was a memmber of the Copperas Cove Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile Merak Temple in Waco. Loving Family: Daughters: Sandra and her husband John Henderson of Arlington, Tx Cynthia and her husband Jerry Marr of Forney, Tx. Sons: James and his wife Penny Pettigrew of Copperas Cove, Tx. Robert and his wife Lori Pettigrew of Copperas Cove, Tx. Fourteen Grandchildren and Nine Great-Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a great-granddaughter, Kenzie Rian McMullen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the: Texas Scottish Rites Hospital for Children in Dallas or the Shriner's Crippled Children's hospital, in care of Merak Temple in Waco. Visitation will be from 6p.m. to 8p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
