Eddie Flynn Blair

Eddie Flynn Blair, 72, of Waco, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025.  Born on August 1, 1953, in Lampasas, Texas, Eddie lived a full and meaningful life defined by hard work, sharp wit, and a generous heart.

From an early age, Eddie embodied determination.  He started working several jobs in high school and later moved into construction, where his dedication and strong work ethic carried him forward.  For a short time, he pursued collegiate golf, a sport he loved deeply, before transitioning into the corporate world.  His career flourished, ultimately leading him to become CEO of Omega Industries, where he was respected not only for his leadership but also for his integrity and vision.

It was through his work that Eddie met the love of his life, Janet.  Together, they built a home in Waco, raising their son, Brian, and sharing countless memories of laughter, travel, and love.  Janet preceded Eddie in death on January 25, 2022, and their reunion brings comfort to those who loved them both dearly.

Eddie's passions were many - he had a lifelong love for golf, a knack for do-it-yourself projects, and a love of travel.  Yet beyond his pursuits, Eddie was known most for his ability to make people smile.  His humor could light up a room, and his laugh would cause it to shake.  Friends and family alike will remember him for his generosity, his wisdom, and the way he encouraged others to have a life well lived.

Eddie is survived by his son, Brian Blair, and countless friends, colleagues, and loved ones who were touched by his presence.

A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas, Texas, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

Eddie's life was a testament to perseverance, joy, and love.  Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy and spirit will live on in the many lives he impacted.
