Lampasas

Elaine Westeen, 78, of Lampasas, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026.  She was born on April 15, 1948.  Elaine lived a life centered on faith, family and love.  A devoted Lutheran and homemaker, she dedicated herself to caring for those she loved and creating a warm, welcoming home.  Elaine had a special love for books, owls, and crosses, which reflected both her curiosity and her deep faith.

Everyone knew Elaine as Nana, and she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel like family.  Her kindness, compassion, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.  Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a story, or simply opening her home and heart, she made those around her feel loved and valued.

One of Elaine's greatest joys was caring for her family.  She loved baking and was known for always having snacks ready for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  There always seemed to be cookies waiting for anyone who stopped by, and her kitchen was a place filled with warmth, laughter, and love.  These simple acts of kindness became treasured memories for her family and reflected the generous heart she shared with everyone around her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Westeen; her daughters, Tina Locke and Windy Westeen; her cherished grandchildren, Khrystal, Samantha, Patrick, and Christopher; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Kasey, Kason, Karter, Scarlet, and Ollie.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue to live on through those who were blessed to know her.

Nana you will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering faith, and the countless ways she made everyone feel welcomed.

Her favorite Bible passage was Psalm 23: 1-6 (King James Version)

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I wll fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."

Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and dwelling in the house of the Lord forever.
