Genevieve Avis Kelley, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in Lampasas.

Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas on Wednesday, May 8 from 10 am to 11:30 am.  Graveside services will follow at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa at Noon.

Genevieve was born in Kempner, TX on May 14, 1933, to Charlie and Amanda (Broadway) Cook.  Attending church and her faith were a big part of her life.  She was the kind of person who always made sure everyone had what they needed and was willing to help in any way she could.  She was very passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren.  She thoroughly enjoyed everyone coming to her house each year for Christmas Eve. She also enjoyed gardening and maintaining her lawn.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lawrence Kelley; her brothers, Joe Cook and Clifford Cook; her sisters, Millie Lemaster and Laverne Beavers.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis Kelley, Dale Kelley, and Barry Kelley; her siblings, Janice Simpson and Edwin Cook; her grandchildren, Travis Kelley, Daniel Kelley, Adam Kelley and Scott Stinson; 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
