Glenda Jo Shoemaker

Glenda Jo Shoemaker, a beloved member of her community and an adored matriarch in her family, was born on November 27, 1951, in Burnet, Texas. She passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, in Killeen, Texas, leaving a legacy filled with love and dedication.

Primarily known as a homemaker, Glenda's nurturing spirit extended beyond the walls of her home to her cherished ranch, where she found joy in caring for her chickens and cows. Her passion for rural life reflected her deep appreciation for nature and the simple joys it brings. Glenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, creating a warm and supportive environment for her family.

She shared a wonderful marriage of 53 years with her devoted husband, Glenn. Together, they built a life rich in love and companionship. Glenda is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Aurora Carter and her fiancé Joseph Flores, Ryleigh Carter, Kinsleigh Delgado, Xander Delgado, and Zeke Delgado. She also delighted in the presence of her great-grandchild, Opal Flores, who brought immense joy to her later years.

Glenda was preceded in death by her daughter, Lanie Delgado. She is survived by her cousins, Roger and Susan Shugart, and Bobby Shoemaker and Marion Shoemaker, who will carry her memory forward in their hearts.

Glenda's love and dedication to her family and her passions have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her kind spirit and nurturing heart.

Visitation will be held at Sneed - Carnley Funeral Chapel and Cremations in Lampasas, Texas, on July 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service to honor her memory will take place on July 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Kempner City Cemetery.
