Glenda Kay Simons

Glenda Kay Simons, 81, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at her home in Lampasas, Texas. She was born on April 20, 1945, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Loye and Mary Pursley.

Funeral services will be held at Lampasas Community CHurch, 1601 E. 4th St., Lampasas, TX, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 2 pm.  The family will be greeting friends and relatives prior to the service.  Private burial will follow at Williams-Buck Cemetery in Liberty Hill, TX.

Glenda married Connie Simons, Jr. in 2018 in Lorenta, TX.  They were happily married for 8 years. Glenda was a Godly woman who loved deeply and showed tremendous compassion.  She was an active member of Community Church in Lampasas.  She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.  She also enjoyed traveling and experiencing life with those she loved.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Tina Balsitis.

Glenda is survived by her spouse, Connie Simons, Jr of Lampasas, TX; her children, Charlotte Smith, Shawnna Greenwell, Theresa Alverez, Robert Vincent, Genevieve Hererra (and their respective significant others; her stepchildren, Jenni McGlathery, Hoss Simons, Desiree Simons, Illayana Langston (and their respective spouses); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Community Church.
