October 26, 1944 — March 13, 2015
Harlynn M. Thompson, age 70, of Copperas Cove passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove with burial following at 2 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Harlynn was born on October 26, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Harlan and May Morgan Roberts. She joined the United States Army in February of 1973 and served until November of 1977. She married Olen Thompson on September 14, 1974. After Olen’s military career, which lasted 20 years, they settled in Copperas Cove. Harlynn also worked in Gatesville as a correctional officer for several years for TDCJ. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Harlynn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Olen; and her sons, James C. Miller and Maurice A. Miller.
Harlynn is survived by her sons, Robert Summers, Thomas Miller; daughter, Cathy Yost; step-daughters, Janice Thompson and Angie Thompson; brother, Ted Roberts; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
