Inez "Nacho" Sapien, Sr., 87, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family in Lampasas, Texas.  He was born on June 12, 1939, in Lampasas, Texas to Gumecindo Sapien and Manuela Longoria Sapien.

Inez grew up and attended schools in Lampasas, Texas.  He was a carpenter by trade but had many other skills.  He moved to Dallas for most of his life, then eventually resided with his brother Daniel.  They were two of a kind.  When the Lord called his brother Daniel home, Inez returned to Lampasas to enjoy his final years with April and Michael.  He enjoyed taking walks with his Yorkie, Lucy.  He also enjoyed when his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit.

Inez was preceded in death by his parents, Gumecindo and Manuela Sapien; the mother of his children, Amelia "Amy" Sapien; his son, Larry Sapien (infant); his daughter, Joann Sapien (infant); his brothers, Selestino Sapien, Daniel Sapien; his sister, Della Sapien; his nephew, Tony Sapien, and his niece, LaDonna Sapien Melendez.

Survivors include his children, Ines Sapien Jr., (Ana), G. Alan Sapien (Heather), Lori A. Lovato (Joe), Thomas J. Marinelli (Darlene), Michael A. Hernandez (April); his brother, Joe Sapien; his sister, Frances Arzola; his grandchildren, Sasha M. Lozano-Hernandez, TJ Marinelli III, Crystal L. Hernandez, Jennifer M. Cox, Joe M. We would like to acknowledge our sister, April, for all she did for our dad, and our brother, Micheal for their devotion to our father in his final years and time here.  They gave their time, compassion, and love selflessly.  And to our brother Alan, for always being the rock of our family.
