OBITUARY

Israel Ostolaza Ortiz Jr., 63, was born on November 16, 1962, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, to Israel Ostolaza Sr. and Carmen Mercedes Ortiz.

In 1966, at four years old, Israel moved with his family to Brooklyn, New York, where he spent most of his life.

After coming to know Jehovah, Israel dedicated his life to serving Him and was baptized in 1990. His faith became central to his life, and he found great joy in sharing the hope he found in the Bible.

Whether speaking with longtime friends or someone he had just met, he rarely missed an opportunity to talk about his beliefs.

On October 18, 2013, Israel married Alvida Gonzalez. In 2017, they made Texas their home, where they built a life together with his youngest daughter, Hope Angelina Ostolaza.

Israel spent much of his life working as an automobile mechanic, a trade he truly loved. He was always willing to share his knowledge, offering advice or helping to diagnose vehicle problems whenever someone needed a hand.

Outside of work, Israel enjoyed riding his motorcycle, maintaining his saltwater aquarium, DJing, and watching movies. He was known for striking up conversations wherever he went and became a familiar face around Copperas Cove.

Israel will be remembered for his faith, his willingness to help others, his passion for mechanics, and his love for sharing what mattered most to him.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Alvida Gonzalez; his children, Israel David, Ericka, Roxanna, Victoria, Francis, Sasha, and Hope Angelina; his grandchildren; siblings; and many extended family members, dear friends, and brothers and sisters in the faith, all of whom will cherish his memory.

Israel Ostolaza Ortiz Jr., 63 años, nació el 16 de noviembre de 1962 en Jayuya, Puerto Rico, de Israel Ostolaza Sr. y Carmen Mercedes Ortiz.

En 1966, a los cuatro años de edad, Israel se mudó con su familia a Brooklyn, Nueva York, donde pasó la mayor parte de su vida.

Tras conocer a Jehová, Israel dedicó su vida a servirle y se bautizó en 1990. Su fe pasó a ocupar un lugar central en su vida, y halló gran alegría al compartir la esperanza que encontró en la Biblia.

Fuera hablando con amigos de toda la vida o con alguien a quien acababa de conocer, rara vez dejaba pasar la oportunidad de hablar sobre sus creencias.

El 18 de octubre de 2013, Israel se casó con Alvida González. En 2017 establecieron su hogar en Texas, donde construyeron una vida juntos con la hija menor de él, Hope Angelina Ostolaza.

Israel pasó gran parte de su vida trabajando como mecánico automotriz, un oficio que realmente amaba. Siempre estaba dispuesto a compartir sus conocimientos, ofreciendo consejos o ayudando a diagnosticar problemas en los vehículos siempre que alguien necesitaba una mano.

Fuera del trabajo, Israel disfrutaba andar en motocicleta, cuidar su acuario de agua salada, servir como DJ y ver películas. Era conocido por entablar conversación dondequiera que iba y se convirtió en un rostro familiar en Copperas Cove, TX.

Israel será recordado por su fe, su disposición para ayudar a los demás, su pasión por la mecánica y su amor por compartir aquello que más le importaba.

Le sobreviven, con profundo cariño, su esposa, Alvida Gonzalez; sus hijos, Israel David, Ericka, Roxanna, Victoria, Francis, Sasha y Hope Angelina; sus nietos, hermanos y numerosos familiares, así como queridos amigos y hermanos en la fe, quienes guardarán con aprecio su recuerdo.
