James was married to two women in his life. Barbara L. Agan and Patty Agan, both of whom predeceased him. He is survived by one son, James (Sue), three Grandchildren: James (Corrie), Arwen (Matt), and Justin (Kristina), five great-grandchildren: Blake, James, Bella, Shiloh, and Dakota, and lastly, one great-great-grandchild, Dalise.
He worked as a Railroad Brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War, where he maintained P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft. He was also a Computer Programmer, a school district Security Guard, and a Ferry Driver for Enterprise.
He loved the outdoors, especially camping and trout fishing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, the Elks Lodge, and the American Legion. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast and thoroughly enjoyed a good ole western movie.
Paramount to him during his life was his love and support of family. Nothing brought him greater joy or pride. Ninety-Two years was not long enough for all he touched. He will be missed but never forgotten. Everyone he ever met will carry his memory into the future. His love endures and carries on, which truly embodies the meaning of “Immortal.”
