James W. Rhymes, Jr.

James Willard Rhymes, Jr., 63, of Lampasas, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in Lampasas at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 2 pm with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

James grew up in Lampasas and worked in construction all of his life and was a jack of all trades.  He enjoyed fishing and being with his family.

James was preceded in death by his father, James Rhymes (Friday); his brothers, John Rhymes (Densel), Donnie Rhymes (Donk); his sisters, Helen Rhymes and Carolyn Rhymes.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Ann Rhymes; his brother, Jessie Rhymes; sisters, Lena Biddy, Sylvania West, Pricilla West, Dora Pickens; daughter, Sueann Roesner; son, James Rhymes; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Rhymes; son-in-law, Tom Roesner; step-children, Mary and Carl Falk; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces; six nephews and many other relatives and friends.
