Joel Elizondo

Joel O. Elizondo, 58, of Copperas Cove, TX, passed away on March 8, 2022, in Killeen, TX.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Joel O. Elizondo was born in Baytown, Texas to Manuel and Janie Elizondo on April 16, 1963.  He went to school at Sterling High School in Baytown, Texas.  He married Josephine Jimenes Elizondo on March 8, 2001, in Baytown, Texas. He graduated from San Jacinto College, Pasadena, TX.  Joel worked as a Diesel Technician for Penske Truck Co. for 16 years and also worked for the City of Baytown as a mechanic.

Joel is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel R and Janie O Elizondo; his brothers, Manuel O Elizondo and Louis O Elizondo; and sister-in-law, Mary Gail Rule Elizondo.

Joel is survived by his wife, Josephine J. Elizondo; his children, Anna Elizondo of Killeen, TX, Erika Elizondo Angel of Baytown, TX, and Brandon Lupo of Tucson, AZ; siblings, Janie Lupe Gonzalez of Baytown, TX, Robert Marilyn Elizondo of Dayton, TX, Jerry Elizondo of Green River, WY, David Janet Elizondo and Albert Karen Elizondo, all of Baytown, TX; Grandchildren are, Markus Cantu of Killeen, TX, Kataleya Perez, Elena Perez, and Aviana Perez of Baytown, TX; many nieces and nephews; and his extremely close cousin, Alex Aguilar.

Joel had such a kind heart and was loved by all who knew him. He truly will be missed.
