Jose David Merly

Jose David Merly, 48, of Killeen, Texas, passed away on May 29, 2025.  Jose was born on March 26, 1977, in Jersey City, New Jersey.  Jose spent his life surrounded by the love of his family and friends, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest, just as he always encouraged them to do.

Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Jose found joy in the simplest pleasures of life.  A bright, warm soul, he had a way of lighting up any room with his humor, playful spirit, and boundless generosity.  Known for his legendary sense of humor, love of food, and endless pranks, Jose made every gathering memorable.  His laughter, kindness, and ability to make others feel truly seen will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his beloved children, Fabian, Sabrina, Genesis, and Jayden, and five grandchildren, who were the heart of his life.  Jose was the cherished son of David and Ana Merly, a devoted brother, a loving uncle, an amazing brother-in-law, and a treasured friend to many.

Jose's legacy is one of laughter, love, and unwavering family bonds.  He will be missed deeply, remembered fondly, and celebrated always.
