Joyce Wamsley, born on April 28, 1951, in Fort Hood, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, in Lampasas, Texas. Joyce was a beloved member of her family, known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering support to those around her.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Monday, June 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at New Covenant Church on Tuesday, June 24, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Throughout her life, Joyce dedicated herself to her roles as a wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, David Wamsley, who shared many cherished moments with her throughout their journey together. Her legacy continues through her children, son James David Rogers and his wife Veronica, and her daughter Jeri Michelle Rogers.
Joyce took great joy in being a grandmother to her three grandsons, Ethan, Derek, and Trinity, as well as to one great-grandchild. Her warm spirit and nurturing nature enriched the lives of her family, who will carry her memory in their hearts.
She is also survived by her sisters, Dessa Yvonne Faubion and Rebecca Lee, and her step-brother, Bobby Faubion. Together, they shared memories and experiences that shaped their lives and strengthened their familial bonds.
Joyce Wamsley's presence will be deeply missed but her impact and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of compassion and devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends.
