Juan Carlos Valdez

Juan Carlos Valdez, 62, of Lampasas, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at his residence in Lampasas surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 3 pm with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Juan was born on July 12, 1959, in Crystal City, TX. He served his country in the US Army and worked most of his career as a Sanitation Supervisor for various companies. He loved fishing, taking his great-granddaughter Amanda for walks, working out, running, and has won many medals from his races. In high school, he ran with Johnny Lam Jones and they were close during their high school years. He also enjoyed camping, barbecuing, and putting together the kid's toys at Christmas, and most importantly he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandmother, and a brother. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Connie Valdez; father, Ramon Villegas; daughters, Evelyn Owens, Constance Bourque, Michelle Cavazos, and husband, Mario; five sisters; two brothers; 13 grandchildren; great-granddaughter, Amanda Faith Valdez, and 11 more great-grandchildren.
