Katherine Puamemea Laufou-Falelua

Katherine Puamemea Laufou-Falelua, born on September 27, 1989, in New Zealand, left this world far too soon on August 15, 2024. She was a beloved figure in the community of Copperas Cove, where she dedicated her career as a coach, passionately mentoring and nurturing the younger generation. Her impact on her students was profound; she loved them fiercely and saw their potential, always encouraging them to reach new heights. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, September 6, 2024, at Sneed Carnley Funeral Chapel Copperas Cove. Burial will follow at Copperas Cove City Cemetery.

Katherine attended the University of Texas in San Antonio and soon realized her passion for coaching. Katherine embodied the values of loyalty, humility, and intelligence, traits that allowed her to connect deeply with both her students and fellow coaches. Her selflessness and dependability made her a great sister, daughter, and an incredible mother, nurturing those around her with love and care.

Family was at the heart of Katherine's life. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, finding great joy in their company. They were her greatest treasures, and she was a source of strength, support, and inspiration to them all. Her commitment to her family was unwavering; every gathering, every conversation, and every shared memory reflected her love and devotion.

Katherine’s warm spirit and gentle demeanor drew people to her. She was a God-fearing woman who welcomed everyone with open arms, making it easy for those around her to feel valued and appreciated. Her infectious smile lit up the room, and her laughter was a melody that will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

As we remember Katherine, we celebrate her life filled with love, resilience, and dedication to both her family and her profession. She has left an indelible mark on the lives of many, and her legacy as a coach, a mother, a sister, and a friend will forever remain in our hearts. Katherine Puamemea Laufou-Falelua will be missed dearly and remembered fondly, forever loved by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Katherine is survived by her husband, Ropeti Falelua Jr.; daughters, Nafanua Laufou,  Evelyn Falelua-Laufou, son, Canton Falelua-Laufou; parents, Canton and Evelyn Alesana-Laufou; sisters, Moana Laufou, and Fuatai Fou; and niece and nephew, Puamemea and Tavita Fou.
