Laura Ann Arms

Laura Ann Arms, 85, passed away on May 28, 2026, at her home in Copperas Cove, TX.  She was born on March 25, 1941, to J.D. and Vastine Arms in Lampasas, TX.  She was one of 17 brothers and sisters: Joyce Heiney, Betty Jo Ackerman, Patsy Ruth McWhorter, Donna Faye Daniel, Nancy Ellen Lindsey, Nelda Sue Fousin (Deceased), Letha Jannetta Arms, Rose Mary Smith, Bobby Lee Arms (Deceased), Jimmy Ray Arms, Charles Arms (Deceased), Marvin Gene Arms (Deceased), Donald Dean Arms (Deceased), Wesly Arms, Lloyd Arms and Mickey Arms (Deceased).

Laura married Lanier Moon at an early age and they had six children: Rodney Dale Moon, John Berry Moon, Toby L. Moon (Deceased), James Ray Moon, Malinda Kay Halt (Deceased), and April Ann Moon (Deceased).  They were divorced and she then married Charles Douglas and they had a daughter, Leslie Ann Douglas.  Laura also had 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. 

Laura married Donnie Labombard on October 30, 2022.  She was a very special mother and sister and was very loved by all.  She was very close to her parents.  Laura was a great cook and could always pull a delicious meal together with hardly any ingredients.  Everyone enjoyed her biscuits and gravy, her turkey and dressing, even her water gravy was great on biscuits.  Most of her career was spent working in retail.  Laura also laughed and remembered the times she had to pick cotton.  

Laura loved God and was always trying to grow in her faith.  Donnie and Laura would watch the service out of Waco on TV every Sunday morning together.  Laura also was an expert at finding anything anyone needed.  She enjoyed going to Goodwill and garage sales.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2 pm with visitation and hour prior.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
