Leonard E. Spivey

Leonard Everett Spivey, 84, of Lampasas, passed away on July 28, 2026.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Saturday, August 1, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Leonard was born in Lampasas, TX on May 28, 1942, to Leonard William Spivey and Annette (Roberts) Spivey.  Leonard spent most of his career working for TXDOT and retired after 25 plus years of service.  He was heavily involved in the Lampasas County Youth Livestock Association.  Leonard raised show sheep and helped many kids in the community to show.  

Leonard knew everyone and always had a good story to tell.  He loved to BBQ, pitch washers and cooked sheep so well that most people had no clue what they were actually eating.  Family was everything to Leonard, he was a devoted husband to his wife, Jo, and said many times he wouldn't be the man he is today without her.  He was devoted to his children and grandchildren and rarely ever missed any of their events or activities. 

One of Leonard's proudest moments was when he was baptized in October of 2025, something he voluntarily decided he wanted to do.  Leonard will be deeply missed by his family, friends and the community of Lampasas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo, his sisters, Lynette and Karen, and his son-in-law, Alberto "Bert" Lopez.

Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Hall and husband Paul, Serina Parker, and Amanda Lopez; his grandchildren, Reece, Kenzlee, Lindzy, Ramsie, Brynlee, Blakelyn, Shyan, and Shawn; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lampasas County Youth Livestock Association or the Ladies Auxiliary in Leonard's name.
