Linda Miller

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Miller, who departed this life on May 25, 2025, in Lometa, Texas.  Linda was born on February 13, 1948, in Paris, Texas, to Preston Echols and Ruth (Harvey) Echols.  

Her childhood was spent in Enloe and Cooper on their family farm.  Linda graduated as an honors graduate in 1965 from Cooper High School in Cooper, Texas.  After high school, she attended East Texas State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in education and a Master of Education.  It was there that she met the love of her life, Keith Miller.  They were married on October 30, 1971, and enjoyed 39 years of marriage together.  After living in Prosper for a few short years, they eventually settled in Nocona, Texas, where they farmed, ranched, and raised their family.  Linda dedicated 32 years of her life to teaching and guiding generations of children, with most of her teaching career being spent at Ringgold Elementary School.  After retiring from teaching, she enjoyed gardening, reading, piecing together quilts for her family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kelli (Trampus) Isom of Lampasas, Texas; her son, JP (Amy) Miller of Nocona, Texas; her grandchildren, Preston, Cayhill, Jhett, Jentry, Briggs, and Olson; her sisters, Elaine (Fred) Fore and Amy (Jim) Gulde; sister-in-law, Becky Echols and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Nocona Public Library or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America www.alzfdn.org/donate 

We welcome all family and friends to share a brunch on Thursday, June 5, at 11:30 am, followed by a service at 1:00 pm.  The celebration of life will take place at 18654 FM 103, Nocona, Texas.
