Linda Susan Smith Parks

Linda Susan Smith Parks, 78, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, in Lampasas, Texas.  Linda was born on November 4, 1947, to Robert Lee Smith and Susan Adeline Carpenter Smith in Gatesville, Texas.

Linda had a wonderful childhood, spending time helping her parents tend to the livestock, gathering eggs, bottle feeding orphan lambs, playing with cousins, and caring for her many cats.  Linda attended school in Pidcoke and Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1968.  Linda was a member of the Ft Gates Church of Christ; she also attended Pearl Church of Christ.  Linda lived a long, happy life filled with family, friends, and Church.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, cousins, Billie Smith Reavis, her husband Decil, and Bobbie Jean Smith Langford.

Survivors include cousins, Angela Rainwater and husband Jeff of Kempner, Kathy Selph and husband Danny of Izoro.  Tamara Kruppa and husband Michael, Justin Rainwater, Brittany and Chaysen Dame, Garrett and Autumn Selph, Kylee Kruppa, Kade Kruppa, Poppy Joy Dame, Francis Dame, and Ryder Selph.
