Lloyd Dennis Pryor, lovingly known as Dennis, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Killeen, Texas. Born on January 22, 1956, in Lampasas, Texas, Dennis’s life was marked by a deep love for family, a passion for his favorite movies and TV shows, and an enduring spirit despite the many health challenges he faced in his final days.
Dennis’s warmth and kindness resonated most profoundly in his dedication to those he loved. His devotion to his wife, Bonnie Pryor, who preceded him in death, was a guiding light throughout his life. Now reunited, they watch over their family together, wrapped in love that transcends even time. Dennis was a proud father to his daughters, Holly Nash and Haley Lairson, whose accomplishments brought him immense pride. He had an unwavering support and belief in them and an undeniable love for his grandchildren.
Dennis’s personality was vibrant and full of life. He was a man who cherished conversation, often found talking on the phone each day, serving as a confidant especially to his daughter Haley and his sister Alicia Crofoot. His love for good food was legendary—always ready for a tasty deal at Whataburger or Sonic, and never without his beloved Dr. Pepper. Movie and TV show marathons, particularly science fiction, and the steady rock music soundtrack of his life brought him joy.
One of Dennis's heartfelt family traditions was taking his wife and daughters to Longhorn Caverns every year—a shared experience filled with wonder and togetherness. Simple pleasures like riding around with the car windows down, feeling the breeze, and taking in the sights encapsulated his zest for life and the beauty in the everyday moments.
Dennis also had strong family ties beyond his immediate family. He is survived by his daughters Holly Nash and Haley Lairson; sons-in-law Chris Nash and Chase Lairson; grandchildren Gabriel Nash, Talon Lairson, and Maylene Lairson; his sister Alicia Crofoot; and his brother Glen Pryor, along with his brother-in-law Dean Howard, and many nieces and nephews. Their love and support cherished his memory, holding tightly to the endless kindness and affectionate nature that defined Dennis’s presence.
His passing followed a prolonged battle with health conditions. Despite all of them there was hope he might regain strength at the nursing home.
Dennis’s mother, Anna Doris McFarland, father Glen Albert Pryor, sister Margaret Howard, and his beloved wife Bonnie preceded him in death. Their memories remain part of the enduring fabric of his story.
Lloyd Dennis Pryor’s life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and devotion. His legacy endures in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him. Those who loved him now find comfort in knowing he rests peacefully, forever surrounded by the love that filled his world.
