Marguerite Ramsey, 102, of Lampasas, passed peacefully to meet her Lord Jesus on Monday, May 20, 2024.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 10 am. Memorial services will follow at First Baptist Church Lampasas at 11 am with visitation after.
She was born in Nix, Texas on January 2, 1922, to K.E. Ringer and Gorda Lee Palmer Ringer. Marguerite graduated from Lampasas High School and worked at Randolph Field, San Antonio during World War II. She then worked 35 years with the Lampasas Federal Land Bank, retiring in 1985.
Marguerite married Pete Ramsey on March 27, 1943, and they had two children, Billy Ross Ramsey and Mickey K. Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; her son, Billy; her brother, Harvey Ringer; her sister, Loita Ramsey and her sisters-in-law, Hazel Davis and Nita Fay Ringer.
She is survived by her son, Mickey Ramsey, and wife Debbie; her grandchildren, Myles Ramsey and wife Victoria and Bliss Davis and husband Andrew; her great-grandchildren, Byars Ramsey, Hope Ramsey, Byron Ramsey, Jacey Davis, and Leighton Davis; her niece, Cindy Ringer and her nephew, Larry Ringer.
She was a longtime member of her beloved First Baptist Church of Lampasas where she faithfully served. She also served many years with Meals on Wheels and The Lampasas Mission. She will always be remembered for her sweet smile, radiant laughter, great breakfasts with homemade biscuits and jams, and all things canned and preserved! Her lemon meringue pie will never be replicated! Her family teased her much about her saying of "over yonder" and now she is safely there! Most of all she knew and loved Jesus and her final wish would be that each of you reading this knows and loves Jesus too.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lampasas or Lampasas Mission.
