Mary E. Bryson of Copperas Cove and formerly of Gainesville, Texas passed away on March 13, 2021.  Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Viss Family Funeral Home.

Mary was born on April 10, 1942, in Madera, CA to the late John and Mrytle Blakley Harper.  She was the daughter of migrant workers which led her family to working in California, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.  In 1962, she met and married Jimmie Bryson in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She was a committed wife to Jimmie as he served in the United States Air Force for combined 30 years of service.  They settled in Washington for another 30 years before moving to Gainesville to care for her mother in 2001.  They moved recently to Copperas Cove to be close to family.  Mary loved to travel and collect antique furniture and jewelry.  She was an antique dealer for a number of years and loved to host shows with her glassware. She loved the casinos, where she made many friends, and her animals, especially dogs and horses.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and many siblings.

Mary is survived by her husband, Jim Bryson; and numerous nieces, nephews to include Gary and Teresa of Copperas Cove, and great nieces and nephews.
