Melinda Jane (Born) Wagner passed away unexpectedly at the age of 82 in Lampasas, Texas.
The oldest of four children, she was born in Evanston, Illinois, to Richard and Jane Born. She grew up in Wilmette and attended New Trier High School. From there, she attended Beloit College in Wisconsin and pledged Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Later, she attended Moser Secretarial School and then worked at Brady Corp after marrying and moving to Milwaukee, where she and her husband, Bob, and daughter, Natalie, lived. Her friends there remember her as kind, friendly, and loving to work on craft projects, quilting, and reading. She was always willing to help anyone who needed her.
Recently, she moved to Texas (after the passing of her husband) and lived with her sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David, her husband, Bob, and her daughter, Natalie.
She is survived by her sister, Carole (Lee), sister, Margaret (Rex), and nephew, David (Isabel, Isa). Although she will be greatly missed, Melinda will now be at peace with her husband and daughter, in God's great kingdom in Heaven.
