Michael Patrick DeRiso

Michael P. DeRiso, 79, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at his home in Lometa, Texas.  He was born on July 28, 1946, in Fremont, Nebraska, to Charles DeRiso and Agnes Janousek.

A Rosary will be recited at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, 201 E. 3rd St, Lampasas, TX 76550, at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 7, followed by visitation until 8:00 PM.  A Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 701 N Key Ave, Lampasas, TX 76550, at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 8.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at 11:00 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

Michael married Nelda in 1970 in Hardin, Texas.  They shared 55 years together.  He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  He enjoyed farming, ranching, and spending time with his family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael is survived by his spouse, Nelda, of Lometa, Texas; his sons, Michael Todd DeRiso, Rusty Paddy, Troy DeRiso, and Patrick DeRiso and his wife, April; his ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his brother, John DeRiso, and sister, Patricia Doerr.

He will be remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
