Michael Parsons

Michael Kerry Parsons, age 64, of Copperas Cove passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, in Temple. It was his request that no service be held.

Michael Kerry was born on October 9, 1955, in Lampasas, Texas, to the late Edward and Glendene Smith Parsons. He was raised in Copperas Cove and graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1975. Michael Kerry worked at the commissary on Fort Hood for 28 years. He married Joy Griffin on February 1, 1996. After his retirement, he worked at Ledger Furniture in Copperas Cove. Michael Kerry loved to cheer on the Dallas Cowboys and never missed a game unless he was working.

Michael Kerry was preceded in death by parents; and a brother, Phillip Sonny Parsons.

Michael Kerry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joy Parsons; daughters, Amanda Parsons, Angel Sell; son, MSG Barry Karpinski and wife, Jen; sister, Donna Moore and husband, Elton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
