Moon S. Wallace

March 26, 1928 — July 2, 2023

Moon Soon Hahm Wallace passed peacefully and joined her husband, Everett James (Jim) Wallace, on July 2, 2023.

She was born on March 26, 1928, in Seoul, Korea, and spent most of her youth in Manchuria, China.  Fleeing Manchuria at the end of WWII, she went to work for the U.S. Army during the Korean War eventually immigrating to the United States with her husband.  Moon spoke four languages, was creative, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Learning golf at a late age and a longtime member of the Lampasas Ladies Golf Association, she achieved a hole-in-one and loved the game.

Moon is survived by her three daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Kucera, Adele (Mike) Quintana, and Lisa (Ronny) Houston.  She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Clint and Lindsey Quintana, Clay Stephens, Meghan, and Haley Houston, and great-grandchildren, Silas, and Eleanor Quintana.

She will be missed immensely, and our world will be dimmer without her.

Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Third St, Lampasas, TX, on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 1 pm.  She will then be laid to rest, next to her husband in a private interment service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas, TX.

Moon was a lifelong parishioner of First Presbyterian Church and in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the church at P.O. Box 782, Lampasas, TX, 76550
