Thomas Garner Aaron, age 89, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Tuesday at Viss Family Funeral Home, 1614 S. FM 116 in Copperas Cove.

Tom was born on August 15, 1931, in Thomastown, LA to the late Jessie and Rosalee Breddlove Aaron. He graduated in 1949 from Lake Providence High School in Louisiana. Tom worked in a cotton gin in Louisiana and at a plastic manufacturing company in Chicago before he joined the United States Army in 1956. He retired at Fort Hood after 23 years of service. Tom was a partner in H&A Trucking after his military retirement. Tom married Bobbye Hurst Nauert on June 26, 1993. Tom worked for the Copperas Cove School District for 13 years as a bus driver. Tom enjoyed football, deer hunting, and watching westerns on the TV.

Tom is survived by his wife of 27 years, Bobbye Aaron; five children; numerous grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice that benefits Wounded Warriors.
