Nannette Lenore Kurtz

Nannette Lenore Kurtz, 54, passed away on October 5, 2021 at her home in Kempner, Texas.

It was Nan's wish to be cremated, a memorial service will not be held at this time.  Her closest friends and family will be notified of any future services at a later date.

Nan was born on July 1, 1967, in Killeen, Texas, to Gordon and Frances McNew.  She grew up in Copperas Cove, Texas, and graduated from high school in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1985.  After high school, she began work for Metroplex Hospital in registration where she worked for 5 years, she then went on to work for the City of Copperas Cove in dispatch where she worked for 3 years, following this she worked for the Copperas Cove Municipal Court as a clerk where she worked for 1 year.

Nan enjoyed latch-hook kits, playing video games, and Court TV.  She loved drinking coffee, seafood, board games, and the holidays.  She was married to Mark Kurtz for 23 years.  Nan was preceded in death by her father, Gordon McNew; mother, Frances McNew; brother, Robert Moore and sister, Marie Davis.

Nan is survived by her sister, Debbie (John) Forbes of Copperas Cove, Texas; her daughter, Chelsea (Rob) Myers of Killeen, Texas; her son, Chandler Kurtz of Fort Hood, Texas; her grandchildren, Mallory and Logan Myers of Killeen, Texas; her niece, Tara (Julian) Jimenez of Harker Heights, Texas; her niece, Krystal (Rob) Johnson of Copperas Cove, Texas; her nephew, Adam (Mandy) Mikeska of Georgetown, Texas; her nephew, Christopher (Amanda) Davis of Sharpsburg, Maryland; her brother-in-law, James Davis of Sharpsburg, Maryland and numerous other loving relatives.
